Current work: Evolving install at threewalls, Chicago, "Every time you think you've got something"
While in residency at threewalls I will be working on an ongoing and shifting installation with old studio remnants, unfinished sculptures, and found materials from my new environment. My work incorporates the circumstances of the space and my new experiences along with my chosen material baggage from the past. Each week the space will be added to, altered, rearranged, organized, disrupted etc. I will simultaneously be working on a body of photographic work stemming from this evolving installation. The evolving piece which is titled "Every time you think you've got something," will be on view Friday Jan 13 from 6 pm to 9pm and every Saturday following that date until the end of my residency with a closing event February 9. I will be present to answer any questions about my practice between 12 pm and 2 pm each Saturday (Jan 14, 21, 28, Feb 4). You can come view the piece as it evolves each week.
